Privacy Policy Anchored — Your tasks, the way you think Last updated: June 2026
The short version Anchored doesn’t collect your personal data. Your tasks stay on your device and in your iCloud account. That’s it.
What Anchored stores and where Everything you put into Anchored — your tasks, lists, folders, Brain Dump items, reminders, and settings — is stored in two places only:
On your device, using local storage In your personal iCloud account, if you’re signed in with an Apple ID
Your iCloud data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Anchored never sees it, touches it, or has access to it. It goes directly between your device and Apple’s servers.
What Anchored does not do
Does not collect your name, email, or any personal information Does not track your location Does not sell your data — to anyone, ever Does not use advertising SDKs Does not share your data with third parties Does not have a server that receives your task data
Crash reports If your device is opted into sharing diagnostics with developers (a setting you control in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics), Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us when the app crashes. These reports contain technical information about the crash — no task content, no personal information. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
Shared lists (Anchored Pro) If you use shared lists, the content of those lists is shared with your collaborators via CloudKit — Apple’s sharing infrastructure. Anchored does not intermediate this. Your collaborators see what you add to a shared list, and you see what they add. This is the intended behavior of the feature.
Purchases If you purchase Anchored Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. Anchored never sees your payment information.
Your data is yours You can export all of your data at any time from Settings → Export Data. You can delete all of your data by deleting the app. If you use iCloud sync, you can also delete the iCloud data from Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your device.
Children Anchored is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy If anything here changes — which we’d only do if the app changes in a meaningful way — we’ll update the date at the top of this page. We won’t bury changes in legalese.
